One Day Can Make a Big Difference
God instituted the Sabbath day for His people to rest. Six days of hard work was enough! But it wasn't just for the body to recover, it could've been even more so for the mind.
In yesterday's sermon I referenced Romans 12:2, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Keeping a sound mind is not an easy thing to do. It takes consistent surrender to the spirit of God, and a disciplined approach to controlling our thoughts. Quite honestly one day is not enough to do that, but it can make a big difference!
A challenge for all of us is to at least take one day each week to reset our minds. During this time maybe we can ask God to refresh us, and refill our minds with His promises.
God wants to transform us by renewing our minds as it says in Romans 12. Remember that transformation is a process, and don't ever think it's too late to begin!
